So with the great help of the folks on the Aurora Discord (https://discord.gg/Dp7p6b8), Some things have been clarified and changed.
The new pdf is available on DriveThruRPG.com (http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/131614/Astra-Imperia-2). Some notable changes include adding the preceding level of Metallurgy to the next, in addition to Construction. Slight changes in some formulas. Warp Anchors are proving to be quite a headache. Such as how does one find a ship in FTL from N-Space? So they currently work system-wide (which I don’t like) and are installations. If they are ship systems, the need to detect ships in FTL arises again. Emergence Wave Detectors, by their very name and nature only detect when a ship exits FTL. Maybe some sort of FTL Ripple, similar to a boat’s wake that follows a ship in FTL that is detectable. Regardless, this will need thought and number crunching. Of course, all of these changes have rendered the current alpha version of AI Aide as obsolete and incorrect.
Via Astrum is proceeding nicely. Mainly down to adding in the universal fluff. In Eldritch Adventures, the spell rewrites are coming along. Next on the list there is the reworking of the bestiary.
After a couple of years of procrastination, I am back working on this. I’ll post the current changelog a bit later in the post. Overall, I’ve completed the Log Viewer functionality. Continue reading Astra Imperia Aide, or AI Aide
So, after two years of non-action, I’ve delved back into the AI Aide program. Much of the last few hours of work has been dedicated to reading the code and regrokking it. Continue reading AI Aide
So it is St. Patricks’s Day. Also known as St. Patty’s Day, St. Paddy’s Day, That day we drink green beer, etc. I normally would have posted yesterday, but I was driving across the wilderness that is Iowa. Continue reading St. Patrick’s Day
So I’m sitting here at Buffalo wild wings, using the WordPress and on my phone to do this post. Normally, I reserve such things for my computer as I find it much easier to type on the keyboard instead of swiping around and having autocorrect “fix” my mistakes.
But since my phone is always with me, this will make things easier in the frequency of posting.

So, Nuke-Con 2015 is over. 25th Anniversary of the con also. There were a lot of games run and played. I personally ran 4 games of Sentinels of the Multiverse. It seemed to go over quite well. Definitely added to the repeat run list. I also picked up Star Wars: Armada Core set, the Gladiator Star Destroyer, duplicate Nebulon-B and CR90 Corellian Corvettes, and an Imperial fighter squadron pack and Rebel/Republic fighter squadron pack. So along with the core set, I can field a 3 ship Imperial fleet vs a 5 ship Rebel fleet, with 20 fighter squadrons per side. This is something I am definitely looking into for Nuke-Con 2016.
Also got to see a bunch of old friends and meet some new ones. Got a chance to catch up with some friends and family also. If you are in the Nebraska/Iowa/South Dakota/Kansas/Missouri area, I suggest going to Nuke-Con at least once.
This one caught me in the middle of something, so not sure how stable it actually is compared to 1517.

Build 1517 is now available. Most of what went on in this build was behind the scenes. Continuing the coding of the table specific classes, along with some improvements to them. Fixed some saving to the database that was not being done before.

This is the change log for build 1513. Builds increment every two weeks on Wednesday.

Been a while since I’ve made an update. Most of what I’ve been doing in my spare time has been with the Astra Imperia Aide. I’m working on a launcher that will update to the latest version of the program files and database. There will be an option to not update, if you are so inclined. Other than that, I’ve been adding localization to the program. Currently it has English and German. Volunteers for other languages would be nice.
